Pharma Model RVDF
With an increase in the demand, the production volumes in pharmaceutical API & Intermediate manufacturing are increasing significantly. Pharmaceutical manufacturers use different philosophies to meet these market demands and undertake capacity enhancement. Typically, two different approaches are adopted, i.e., a). Replicate the existing setup in multiple folds as per the required capacity expansion or b). adopt an advanced technology that delivers the requirement more efficiently.
In pharmaceutical API & Intermediate manufacturing, filtration is one of the essential operations. Today, filtration is carried out using conventional technologies such as Centrifuges, Agitated Nutsche Filter, Plate & Frame Filter Press, Pressure Nutsche Filter and so on. While expanding the production capacity, the number of these filters required increases accordingly. And therefore, the associated resources such as space, power, manpower and utility increase, resulting in an exponential rise in the CapEx and OpEx of the manufacturing facility.
Furthermore, as the number of filters increases, the filtration and cake washing occur in multiple lots. Now, manual handling of such multiple-lot operations compromises the consistency of the product quality. Besides, multiple-lot processing increases the handling losses of products, which may affect the production yield to a great extent.
As a solution to the above challenges and to manage such an extensive volume filtration whilst meeting the pharmaceutical standard, the Pharmalab design team have introduced Pharma Model Rotary Vacuum Drum Filter (RVDF). This pharma model RVDF addresses all the challenges associated with high-volume processing and the GMP requirements of pharma manufacturing./p>
