ALLIANCE UPDATES
Creating multiple references of Vapor Compression technology in the Indian Pharmaceutical sector
The MECO-Pharmalab partnership has been actively working in the Indian Pharmaceutical industry to offer advanced technology for the WFI generation system. The dedicated and untiring effort of several years by the Pharmalab and MECO team has yielded some extraordinary results. The team has put in all the efforts, from creating product awareness to delivering world-class products.
Today, we as a team are proud to announce that we have delivered three Vapor Compression (VC) systems to our three prominent customers in India. The Vapor compression system will be employed in unique projects to fulfil customersā requirements. Here is some exciting information about these projects.
Project 1
One of Pharmalabās esteemed customers on the outskirt of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is executing a greenfield project to set up a world-class injectable facility. The customer is one of the fastest-growing pharmaceutical companies in India, and they have decided to equip this facility with world-class technologies. For their WFI generation requirement, we offered them a solution with MECOās state-of-the-art Vapor Compression system that offers several unique features. Our customer appreciated several technological advantages such as the direct-drive compressor, variable output based on VFD, operation below 106Ā°C (only possible with MECO VC), great flexibility on infeed water quality parameters and decades of MECOās experience.
Based on the technological advantages backed by technical know-how and support from Pharmalab, our customer has ordered a 9 tons (9000 LPH) Vapor Compression system. Today, the system is delivered and under installation & commissioning and is expected to be in action very soon.
Project 2
One of the integrated speciality pharmaceutical companies based in Gujarat plans to establish an injectable facility near Ahmedabad. This multi-national customer had already used the Vapor Compression system of another make in the past. However, while assessing MECO VC, customer applauded various unique features of the system, specifically a) Direct-drive compressor ā boosting operational efficiency and reducing down-time, b) Compact design ā reducing the footprint, and c) smartANALYTICSTM ā ensuring system operation in the most optimal and cost-efficient manner.
After thoroughly understanding the overall system, the customer ordered a 6000 LPH Vapor Compression system with SCADA and 21CFR part 11 compliance.
The system was delivered, meeting the customer requirement of the shortest delivery timeline. The equipment is installed at the site and will be commissioned very soon.Ā
Project 3
One of the major pharmaceutical companies based in Hyderabad plans to set up a large injectable facility in Vishakhapatnam. This greenfield project is to establish an injectable plant with almost ten sterile filling lines. For such a large production volume, the customer has estimated a WFI requirement of around 15000 LPH. Considering the large volume production of WFI, we proposed customer to opt for a Vapor Compression (VC) system to make the overall WFI generation more efficient. The customer was convinced of various advantages the Vapor Compression system offers, mainly a). enables the use of drinking water/RO 1 water quality for feed against Purified Water quality in the conventional method, thereby reducing the WFI generation cost to a great extent. b). Comparatively less plant steam requirement and c). a compact system occupying the minimum footprint.
The project is executed in a phased manner, and the 5000 LPH VC of the first phase is delivered at the site. The equipment will be installed and commissioned shortly.
